About Us

Our congregation began in 1953, started by Clayton and Edna Godshall, who had moved to the Mountain View area to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. At the time, we were only a small group of Christ followers gathering in homes. After a while, we acquired property and met in a house until 1957 when we were able to build a church building.  In 2001, the congregation began the process of building a more visible facility along Highway 10, which is the church home we now know.

Our beliefs are founded in the Bible and the Anabaptist understanding of scriptures. We have a family-centered culture with people of all ages - babies, gray-haired grandparents, and everyone in between! We strive to be a friendly church and we hope that all who visit with us feel at home.

We have a worship service every Sunday followed by Sunday School for all ages. We also host outings for our seasoned members and have an ever-growing youth group that meets regularly.

We'd love for you to join us on Sunday for worship. Please come as you are.

Our church is located south of Hickory, North Carolina, at
